Time provision/Time savings – alternative terms are time banks, time credits, or time exchange – is a concept for retirement provision in which time rather than money is saved. People who regularly support others in their everyday lives are credited with hours by an organization or community. Later, when they themselves need support, they can claim care services to the corresponding extent. One example of how this idea is being implemented is the Zeitpolster model (see Jochum-Müller 2022).
