Gender Equality, Gender Justice, Gender Equity

Central to all considerations of justice is whether they have an impact on the category of gender, and if so, what that impact is. In this regard, gender justice is not a simple construct, but can be “conceived as a complex notion that encompasses a plurality of different normative principles” (Fraser 1997/2001: 74), and it must be borne in mind “that gender justice cannot be discussed without a fundamental interrogation of the prevailing relations and altogether raises the question of how we live, love, and work” (Pimminger 2012: 147).
